Problem Note 46856: Using a value greater than 1 for the READBUFF option might result in wrong data when you access DB2 data on a z/OS system

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

On a z/OS system, if you use the LIBNAME option with the READBUFF statement to read a DB2 table, do not specify a value >1 for the READBUFF value. Using a value >1 might result in incorrect data.

This problem can occur when your SQL procedure (PROC) query is retrieving any character variables that are defined in the DB2 table as VARCHAR.

The only workaround is to not use READBUFF >1.
